Chad J. DeWolf | My IntroductionHello online visitor friend! My name is Chad DeWolf and I am enrolled in the Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program in the Fall of 2014 and will graduate in the Spring of 2016. After earning my undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University in Elementary Education (K-8 Self-Contained | 6-8 English, Math, and Social Studies), I continued my educational exploration in 2007 at Walden University, graduating with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership, with Honors. I have taught 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, along with working as an Instructional Technology Specialist.

I currently teach English and Georgia Studies to 8th grade students at Madison County Middle School in the Madison County School District. When I first arrived there, I was reminded of a movie titled Pleasantville and obviously fell in love with the school and system. My two children, Jack and Anna, both attend this system even though we live one county away - we just love the system! Ideally, I will continue to work within this system through the entirety of my kids' K-12 public education. Saying that, it is also my intention to help create and lead an Educational Technology Specialist team within the system to assist teachers and administrators in meeting the needs of their students when funds make this a possibility.
I was drawn to KSU due to an email sent by our Superintendent stating there was an online degree program that may be of interest to me. The reputation of KSU in instructional technology led me to enroll in the Specialist Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to earn my doctoral degree in Instructional Technology at KSU and operate an instructional technology department!
The purpose of my e-Portfolio is to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE-C standards. Please feel free to browse the above menu links at your convenience. Of particular importance is the "Standards" menu link. Within this section, you can view a multitude of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I completed during my time within this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom, school, and system to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for all. I would like to thank all of my colleagues from my past, present, and future who make teaching an enjoyable and satisfying career.
