This course provided me the opportunity to create an engaging standards (GPS, ISTE NETS-C, and GA PSC) based project I would have never thought about attempting to create myself. From the beginning of the class and throughout, I was amazing how much more information that was out there in regards to instructional technology. The information that was the most valuable to me from this class was:
To me, it is obvious that our 21st Century K-12 learners want to use technology, but more importantly, need to use technology to best prepare them for the world they will soon enter. Sure, the technology used in the classroom will better prepare our students for their quest of knowledge within their content standards, but more importantly, our current students will be applying for jobs that have not been invented yet and the stronger the students are with their technological skills, the better prepared they will be. This class has better prepared me to ensure that my students are better prepared for a more engaged learning experience with relevant instructional technology.
- Understanding the NETS-C, LoTi Levels, and TPACK
